Initial Consultation
This phase is a combination of first dates... we'll see if we are a good fit for each other based on your needs and our construction process.
1. Reach Out
Fill out our contact form or give us a call to describe the project you have in mind.
2. Discovery Call
We'll reach out to schedule a time for a 10 to 20-minute phone call to determine if our services match your needs. We'll ask more detailed questions about your project and discuss the problems you want to solve.
3. On-Site Consultation
During the on-site consultation, we'll continue the conversation from the Discovery Call by exploring your existing space and identifying areas of concern. We'll then take some time to capture the current space and take measurements to help prepare our Ballpark Estimate.
4. Ballpark Estimate Review
The Ballpark Estimate is a rough estimate for your project based on insights gathered during the previous 2 steps and any provided design inspirations to give you an idea of the financial commitment required. We'll schedule a video call to provide you with and review the Ballpark Estimate, answer questions, and review the next steps so we can start designing your new space!
Project Development
The best way we like to explain this phase is by asking: would you allow a doctor to operate on you based on a few symptoms? Or would you want them to perform thorough exams, have a clear understanding of the issue, and have a well-defined plan before operating?
5. Project Development Agreement & Retainer
Our design process is broken up into 3 phases to effectively and efficiently design a space that is meant for you and within your budget. We'll collect a retainer to commence the design of your project.
6. Schematic Design
This phase of the design process focuses on space & layout planning. We'll work together to create a layout for your new space that address all your concerns. If you'd like to open up your existing space by knocking down walls, we'll perform Exploratory Demo to assess viability and provide you with a more accurate construction budget before the layout is finalized.
7. Design Development
This phase of the design process focuses on the selection of materials & colors. We'll provide feedback for the potential selections and input chosen selections into 3D renderings for you to visualize.
8. Final Design & Construction Agreement
With the layout and selections finalized, we'll start negotiating material pricing with our vendors and get to work inspecting your project in detail with our trade partners to ensure a smoother build phase. Then we'll present you with a highly detailed 'fixed price' Construction Agreement that clarifies the project's exact scope and price to ensure a clear understanding of your project's construction plan.
Construction
This is where we bring your vision to life!
We use JobTread, a cloud-based project management software, to manage every step of the build. This tool facilitates seamless collaboration among our team, trade contractors, and vendors and keeps you informed about every step of the build, including communication logs, contracts, invoices, project timelines, and visual updates showcasing the progress.
Picture this – you're on a tranquil beach in the Bahamas, sipping a refreshing drink, liberated from the constant worries of your ongoing project. A quick glance at your phone, and voilà! Updates from us without you lifting a finger. Enjoy your vacation to the fullest, we've got the project covered.
9. We Get To Work
Our project managers will update you weekly on progress and upcoming steps. Communication during the build includes daily logs, weekly snapshots, and regular meetings. We also take dust protection measures for your home.
10. Texas 3-Step, Step 1: Internal Walkthroughs
Our team will conduct multiple internal walkthroughs as different phases of work are being completed to ensure the project is progressing as per the construction plans.
11. Professional Cleaning
At the end of the build phase, we'll bring in professional cleaners so you can immediately enjoy your refreshed space.
Post-Construction
Post-Construction is where we ensure the completed project was built with the envisioned outcome.
12. Texas 3-Step, Step 2: Initial Walkthrough
Our project manager will walk the home with you, identifying any final tweaks needed for perfection. This process ensures that all outstanding items are documented and addressed before project completion.
13. Texas 3-Step, Step 3: Final Walkthrough
This is an opportunity for our team to review and confirm that all initial walkthrough items have been perfected, ensuring that everything meets your satisfaction. During this walkthrough, we'll provide an orientation, answer any questions you have about your new space, and finally, hand over your completed project - with our signature Maple Builds touch.
14. Warranty
Our warranty process is designed to provide you ongoing peace of mind. Enjoy a 2-year warranty. If any issues arise, call us, and we'll address them promptly. We'll also perform periodic check-ups during the warranty period to ensure your satisfaction with the build.
Beyond our warranty, we offer scheduled inspections and maintenance to keep your project in optimal condition for generations. This commitment to continued maintenance underscores our belief that Maple Builds projects are heirloom quality, designed to last.
